hooves

These shoes are by Gee’WaWa; I call them The Hooves. Sometimes I hop around in them with my hands bent like crab claws. Sometimes I don’t.

I ventured into town the other day to find an array of every trend I’ve ever been obsessed with. Pastels... Galaxy… Velvet… Geometric… Botanical… Leather… Neon… Lace… and that’s only part of it.

You spend all your time wishing these stores would stop just catering to your boring needs alone (basics), and fulfil those much more important wants (because only Katy Perry needs galaxy pants). But then when they actually do, you feel overwhelmed and numb to it all. Fashion and shopping is about the thrill of the chase. Now I know how people who win Lotto feel (no I don’t).

But in all honesty, I realised after looking through style.com, that these were just poor imitations of old trends. I’d look like a clone if I gave into High Street trends. Thank merciful Wintour, there is hope!
